Academic Dean & his responsibilities...

The dean Mr..G..S. Reddy is the chief academic officer of American High School. The dean has the responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the school to ensure that the teaching/learning process is carried out effectively. The dean is supervised, directed, and evaluated by the President. In performance of his duties, the dean shall follow and adhere to the educational policies as set forth in the School..

The dean shall pursue continuing education and professional development. . He will hire, supervise and evaluate the branch Campus all over India including states and union territories.

- Ensure that students are encouraged to participate in appropriate programs.
- Ensure implementation of a program consistent with that of the American High School
- Ensure implementation of a comprehensive program for students.

Academic Affairs

Hire, supervise, and evaluate the Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs.
Oversee all academic policy formation in collaboration with the Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs and the Academic Council, and report to the President regarding all academic issues.
With the assistance of the Assistant Principal of Academic Affairs and the Registrar, complete the Secondary School Report, and oversee the preparation of other academic reports, profiles, and forms.
Ensure that the Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs develops and evaluates all phases of the curriculum to ensure that the academic courses offered are in concert with the UC/CSU “A-G” requirements.
Ensure that the Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs develops, updates, and distributes annually the Curriculum Handbook (Course Catalogue).
Assign teaching responsibilities with input from the Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs. In concert with the President and Controller, prepare and implement academic budgets for the Rector by March of each year.

Student Affairs

Hire, supervise, and evaluate the Dean of Students, Director of Student Activities, Director of Athletics, and Director of Counseling.
Oversee the scheduling of programs and student activities to ensure that they fulfill the mission of the school.
Ensure implementation of policies concerning student discipline, welfare, and safety.
Hire all coaches and extra-curricular moderators. Oversee the training, supervision, and evaluation of said personnel.

Personnel Affairs

Assist the President to promote staff awareness, cooperation, and participation in achieving the mission statement and the long range strategic plans.
Ensure the recruitment, improvement, and retention of qualified instructional staff.
Implement personnel policy, procedures, employee performance standards, and rules of conduct for instructional staff.
Ensure compliance with equitable and just academic, disciplinary, and grievance procedures in accordance with High School policy.
Supervise and evaluate all instructional staff with assistance from the Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs and the department chairs.
Promote and ensure faculty and staff professionalism in all day-to-day peer, student, staff, parent, and community interactions.
Survey other private high schools to obtain comparative information relative to salary and benefits, tuition, student policy initiatives, curriculum development, fiscal management, development practices, marketing practices, and student achievement measurement.
Consult on a regular basis with advisory committees or affiliated entities or groups, including Administrative Council, Faculty Senate, Parent and Booster Club.
Determine and implement faculty in-service programs.
With assistance from the Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs, develop, revise, and distribute annually the Faculty Handbook.

Admission Affairs

Oversee the recruitment, admission, and retention of qualified students.
